Robert grew up in Kosciusko, Mississippi, where he graduated from Kosciusko High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in political science from Mississippi State University before receiving his law degree, with honors, from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While in law school, Robert was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal and the Public Interest Law Foundation. He is currently admitted to practice law in all state courts in Mississippi and Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Robert’s practice focuses primarily on complex product liability and mass tort litigation involving defective medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products. He currently represents clients in litigation involving Bair Hugger warming systems, Paraquat, talcum powder products, implantable port catheters, and chemical hair relaxers, among others.

Throughout his practice, Robert has also represented clients in numerous other mass tort and product liability matters, including litigation involving pelvic mesh, Yaz/Yasmin, JUUL e-cigarettes, 3M Combat Arms Earplugs, and Roundup. His work in these matters has included a broad range of responsibilities, including client development and case evaluation, discovery and document review, depositions, expert discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Outside of the office, Robert enjoys hunting, golf, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan. Robert and his wife, Austyn, are blessed with two sons and are members of First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport (PCA).
