Attorney Trevor Rockstad describes the link between Invokana and other SGLT2 inhibitors and their devestating side effects.
These medications are generally prescribed to patients with Type 2 Diabetes to improve glucose control and lower blood sugar. SGLT2 inhibitors are different than traditional diabetes drugs because they don’t work on insulin production. They stop kidneys from reabsorbing sugar which leads to the body processing glucose out via urine.
Many serious injuries may be linked to these diabetes drugs, including the following:
- Ketoacidosis
- Kidney Failure
- Heart Attack
- Stroke
- Coma
- Death
