All of the attorneys at Davis & Crump took an oath to support, protect, and defend  the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Mississippi and to conduct ourselves in accordance with the rule of law.   We strongly believe that racism, brutality, and inequality have no place in our justice system or our society.

The deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor are tragic and heartbreaking and cause us to grapple with issues of the fundamental fairness of the enforcement and administration of our justice system for all citizens, regardless of their race or color.  As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., wrote in the Letter from a Birmingham Jail, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

We acknowledge that there is much work to be done before we will see greater progress in eliminating racism and injustice.  There is more dialogue to be held; there is more listening to be done; there is more collaboration to be had.  We at Davis & Crump are committed to having that dialogue, listening, and facilitating collaboration.  The attorneys at Davis & Crump will continue to support and participate in organizations that prom diversity, elimination of bias, and promotion of equal access to justice for all.  Further, we will continue to zealously represent every single one of our clients, regardless of his or her race or color.  As lawyers, we will strive to do our part to improve the administration of justice for all.
